Unlike wooden bars, BEST Aluminum won't warp or change shape over time. Our beefy 1-1/2-inch by 2-inch profile supports very large works and allows for gallery wrapping of your canvas. A wood cap is attached to the aluminum to allow for stapling of your canvas. Jack Richeson's BEST Aluminum Corners are required to join the corners together and must be ordered separately. These L shaped corner angles join together the bars creating perfect corners and smooth joints. Use either one or two aluminum corners at each joint, as you prefer. An advantage of our aluminum bar system is that you can cut your own bars to length as needed. Just take any longer length, and with a good quality saw, cut to length at a 45-degree angle. We recommend cross bracing any dimension over 36-inch. Cross bracing prevents bowing of the wood and helps keep your artwork square and flat over time.
