407The activity and art of taking a photograph has changed in this digital age. We are more likely to snap a “selfie” than process a roll of film. Photographer Frankie Certain is reintroducing kids to the humble camera through a workshop, photo assignment and art show focused on the point of view of a child. Our project will culminate in an exhibit at the WAV Theater Gallery- Point of View: Photos from Kids’ Arts! One photo from each child’s roll of film will be selected for enlargement by our project leader, AnaMaria. Come take a look and remember what it’s like to see the world through a child’s eyes.

On April 5th Kids’ Arts will welcome the return of former KA teacher, Aimee French, for a special self-portrait project!

Stay tuned for other on-site projects focused on beautification, collaboration and gratitude. Kids will work with artists, staff of the Arc of Ventura, volunteers, and community leaders to create a new garden space and paint a large memorial mural.
